Morrison Ave: Where History Holds Hands with Modern Elegance

Tucked in one of Tampa’s most beloved neighborhoods, this historic gem got a thoughtful refresh that honored its original charm while elevating it to meet today’s standards. From carefully preserved architectural details to modernized finishes and functional updates, this project is a testament to timeless design.

Our client’s vision was clear: respect the past, enhance the present, and create a home that feels both rooted and renewed. The result? A space that’s as soulfully historic as it is beautifully livable.

This outdated bathroom featured traditional finishes, pedestal sinks, and a standard built-in tub that underutilized the space. While clean and functional, it lacked warmth, cohesion, and modern functionality. The black and white tile, builder-grade lighting, and beige walls felt disconnected and uninspired.

From This….

We reimagined this bathroom into a serene, spa-like retreat with layered textures and natural warmth. A custom floating wood vanity with dual sinks anchors the space beneath an oversized arched mirror framed in brass. The built-in tub was replaced with a sculptural freestanding soaking tub and a walk-in glass shower wrapped in blush zellige tile, brass fixtures, and a mosaic floor. Soft lighting, organic tones, and thoughtful storage make this bathroom both calming and high-functioning.

Make it stand out.

When our client dreamed of a pink tile shower, we embraced the challenge to create something soft, sophisticated, and timeless—not trendy. We selected handcrafted blush zellige tiles with subtle tonal variation to bring warmth and depth without overwhelming the space. The matte brass fixtures add understated elegance, while the penny mosaic floor and built-in bench keep the look functional and refined. This shower proves that playful color can still feel elevated when done with intention.
