From Rubble to Revival: The Home That Redesigned Me
Hurricane Helene Didn’t Destroy Me. It Redesigned Me.
People think design is just about finishes—about tile, paint, furniture, and flow.
But sometimes, design is about survival. It’s about finishing a season of loss with grace, grit, and holy imagination.
This was the first project I redesigned after the storm that changed everything.
It wasn’t just about rebuilding walls—it was about rebuilding peace.
First- some back story….
We were 90% done with our full remodel. The finishes were finalized and in. The interior was complete.
First Street was 2 weeks away from being “ready to list”…
…and then Hurricane Helene hit.

The dream we had spent months building — gone in 24 hours.
The new landscaping washed away
The flood line rising 4 ft.
The vision... shattered.

But faith doesn’t fold when the storm hits.
It rises.
This wasn’t just a setback. It was a reset.
We took what was left and began again — not just rebuilding the home, but reviving the vision behind it.

Now, we’re sharing the next chapter:
What the home was
What the storm took
And what it will become
We’re rebuilding First Street with more intention, more beauty, and more faith than ever before.
This is what mustard seed faith looks like in real time.
From rubble… to revival.
If you're building something new after a hard season, we hope this inspires you to keep going.
To trust the slow work.
To design with vision, even when everything looks broken.
Because what starts with rubble can become revival.
And we’re honored to build this haven alongside you.—
